There have been lots of synchronization problems with E75 and other S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 phones, appointments rejected and not sychronized.

LAST NEWS (August 2010): Nokia has announced that E75 version 211.12.01 is now available and contains the SyncML fxes.

Nokia has finally started to distribute fixed firmware for E-series! First fix was released on E72 last week, this week on E52 and E55 phones, and E75 will be relased beginning of May 2010, first in service centers and then PC Suite / FOTA channnel.

Nokia E75 latest tests show that calendar sync is working little better with firmware revision 110.48.125.

UPDATE: Nokia has confirmed there there is a bug still in SyncML. Note that upgrading phone firmware is not enough, because phone sync database is probably messed up. You have to do factory reset (*#7370#).

UPDATE: Newest version of firmware 201.12.10 still does not contain SyncML fixes.

Our contact at Nokia tells that development now knows a way to reproduce this error, so it should be quite trivial for software teams to figure out the root cause and provide a fixing task. The schedule for fix is still open.

Workaround: If you do not define a Mailbox in Mobile phone, synchronization works. So you have to choose which is more important, Calendar or Mail.

Recommendation: S60 5th Edition phones work better, so they are recommended. Examples of available models: Nokia N97, Nokia X6, Nokia 5230.
